Design Engineer
CurrentAssist with the creation and ideation of new products for Illumadyne. Develop drawingpackages, BOM and estimates for new products. Develop CNC programs for production runs based on our current product line. Adapt new tooling capabilities and techniques from the use of our new punch and create new CNC programs and drawing database according to these changes. Optimize CNC programs and nested part configuration to improve daily output and reduce metal waste.Maintain tooling database and tool maintenance schedule. Assist personnel with CNC troubleshooting during the manufacturing process. Inspect and test finished products for quality control and make recommendations for improved processes and equipment purchases to improve testing practices forproduct. Prepare equipment operating best practices and machine operation manuals. Develop programs for establishing training and testing of equipment operators andensuring the highest qualifications and standards are maintained for all positions. Assist with the evaluation, selection and integration of an MRP platform for the Company. Compile performance information and articulate actual production metrics for review anduse by Management. Perform other duties as required.
