In April 2022, I retired from a professional dancing career spanning two decades. During my time as a professional dancer I had the opportunity to work with numerous ballet and contemporary dance companies. My experience working with different choreographers and artists has taught me to thrive in fast-paced environments and high stress situations. Working as part of a team was crucial for success when bringing a new choreographic work to the stage with very little time for preparation or rehearsal. As a dancer I learned the value of constructive criticism, and I consider it a strength to be able to take direction so that I can best achieve my goals. The traits I learned and honed over many years in my professional dancing career helped me to earn many principal roles. My experiences allowed me to grow as an artist and an individual. In addition I have been a teacher of dance to all levels from children to adults for as long as my dancing career. The experience I gained as a teacher has been invaluable to my growth as a person and a professional. I continue to teach now and am proud to pass on the experience I have gained during my life to the next generation of dancer artists and future dance lovers. I excelled as a server for over 15 years working in some of the best establishments in the areas where I was currently employed as a dancer. My attention to detail, ability to multitask, interpersonal skills, and ability to learn new skills quickly helped me to succeed. My previous careers have given me skills and abilities that will translate into any future career. I consider myself very fortunate to have fulfilled my dream of becoming a professional dancer for many years. At the same time gathering experience that would make me an asset to any company looking for a cultured individual who is self motivated and driven to meet high expectations with great accuracy.
