I'm a little past two decades of working in a variety of roles in the software industry: service programmer, EHR Safety facilitator, report developer, and now leading a Finops practice I created and built from the ground up. Since the earliest days of our journey to cloud, I've worked to develop the culture and tools for observing and managing our cloud costs, ensuring we derive maximum business value from our cloud expenses, currently in eight figures annually.Prior to joining MEDITECH, I had another 20+ year career in manufacturing and product development at a global player in the materials and capital-intensive flexible laminates industry. Overlapping with both, I attended college at night, and yes, earned a degree, but the learning experience and knowledge gained are far more important.Beyond my professional life, I raced bicycles as an amateur around New England for 35 years, forging many great friendships, and achieving a few race results that still make me smile when I think of them.I enjoy my career and the great people I work with at MEDITECH now more than ever. Evolution is forever and I'm proud to be a lifelong learner, with no intention of stopping.
