Under general direction of the Director of Information Technology, this position serves as the systems administrator for the entire city; supporting all server, network operating systems, email, and data center support; performs complex computer systems analysis; performs desktop, peripheral and application support for entire city; and assist City staff with hardware, software, and network problems. The work involves performing a variety of complex tasks, and requires independent judgment, discretion, and due diligence in the performance of job duties and responsibilities, as well as sound interpretation of local, state and federal policies and regulations.

Under general direction of Information Services Director, this position installs, configures supports, troubleshoots, and maintains computer-based systems and computer peripherals; assist City staff with hardware and software problems; provide audio-visual production support for City cable channel; Manage citywide video security system; and provide administrative support in daily office operations of the department. Responsible for the configuration, setup, re-location, and installation of all personal computers, laptops, and printers for the entire city. Responsible for general cabling and configuration of structured cabling systems. The work involves performing a variety of tasks, and occasionally requires independent judgment, discretion, and due diligence in the performance of job duties and responsibilities, as well as sound interpretation of local, state and federal policies and regulations.
