Since 2008 my projects have included:1) Academy conversion or transfer: Project managed academy conversion or transfer for nearly 80 schools, including primary, secondary, special and alternative provision. Includes voluntary and required conversions / transfers, and includes MAT rebrokering and separation. Established and grown MATs, including growth from SAT to MAT. 2) MAT growth and governance: Supported MATs to develop vision / strategies / objectives, undertake due diligence of potential schools, and develop leadership and governance structures to suit their vision and current situation. 3) Collaboration : Supported clusters of schools establish collaboration structures (including Memorandums of Understanding), and supported reviews and developments of governance structures / schemes of delegations4) Free Schools: Project managed successful free school applications for primary, secondary, special and alternative provision schools. Project managed the implementation of approved applications.5) Pupil place planning: Undertaken work with LA's and Diocese to review projection methodologies, review and develop pupil place planning areas, analyse admissions and census data at Council and planning area level, develop pupil place planning projections, and complete DfE returns. This has included primary, secondary, and SEND analysis. 6) School organisation reviews: Led options appraisals and statutory processes for age of transfer, and options appraisals for primary and secondary reorganisations, special school reorganisations, and future options for PRU provision

Achieving for Children (AfC) is a Community Interest Company established by Richmond and Kingston Councils to deliver their complete Children's Services responsibilities. Both Councils were graded as 'good' in all categories in their Ofsted inspections while I was Chair (May 2015 for Kingston, November 2017 for Richmond). The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead joined AfC in August 2017. AfC's objective is to ensure that children and families benefit from the combination of public sector values, increased staff empowerment, and a culture that is single-minded in its focus on outcomes for children.

Led school organisation consultancy within VT Four S. Projects included:1) Age of Transfer consultation with Bedfordshire2) Interim management at Suffolk for Age of Transfer3) Leading primary school reviews for Surrey, including school closures and expansions4) Successful BSF bid to LB Lewisham (Learning21)5) Successful bid to the Academies Project Management framework in partnership with EC Harris6) Strategic review of provision for the Isle of Wight7) Capital project reviews and feasibility studies for Surrey and London boroughs

Capital and Assets Manager, Sept 2003 - June 2005. Responsible for asset management planning for 400+ schools, financial management of the £60m+ annual capital programme, and team. Introduced web-based IT systems to empower schools to control their own data and capital funds. Graduate trainee, Sept 2001 to Aug 2003 - placements within Education and Children's Services. Responsibility included moving 300 staff from 7 offices into one new one, introducing new IT systems for administration of 1500+ courses a year, improving use of quantitative data in Youth and Library Services, review of relationships with the voluntary sector.
