As a part-time consultant, I worked on a variety of projects related to the grid architecture required for the step change scenario of AEMO’s Integrated System Plan (ISP). Responsibilities included:• Consulted with AEMO on its Functional Requirements for operating a High DER Power System and highlighted the need to develop a Concept of Operations approved by all stakeholders and the use of systems engineering to verify and validate user needs and system requirements as the project progressed.• Participated in CER Data Exchange Industry Co-Design Workshop hosted by AEMO. • Prepared briefing materials for G-PST Topic 7 (Grid Architecture) Stage 4 to workshop the Distributed System Operator (DSO) models, Transmission-Distribution Interfaces (TDI) and potential Distribution Market Mechanisms required to maximise the usage of CER including EVs in the future.• Planned the project schedule for G-PST Topic 7 (Grid Architecture) Stage 4 in Asana.• Researched techno-economic models of future CER integration and reviewed reports of Projects Converge, Edith, EDGE, Symphony which trialled different aspects of CER integration. In this role, I was the Technical Project Manager of the $8M C4Edge project leading a team of 12 direct staff as part of a 22 person team in a small technology start-up. This required running daily scrum meetings with 12 engineers, liaising with project managers to provide logistic support, and coordinating with 8 other companies to deliver a working prototype at a field demonstration within 12 months. This required running daily scrum meetings with 12 engineers, liaising with project managers to provide logistic support, and coordinating with 8 other companies to deliver a working prototype at a field demonstration within 12 months. We successfully delivered the project using lean start-up methodology and agile project management as part of an integrated field demonstration with 8 other companies in Dec 2021, on time and under budget. The delivery of this project was integral to Insitec winning the support contract for the interim Battle Management System. After the completion of the C4EDGE project, I also managed the engineering effort for the $30m interim Battle Management System support contract. Show less

I worked in an organisation named the Defence Materiel Organisation, which procured military equipment for the Army, Navy and Airforce. In my role as a Systems Engineering Manager for Army project Land 75 Phase 4, I planned, organised and managed engineering resources to develop tender documentation for a $1B project. I also oversaw a multi-million dollar, year long, risk reduction activity to determine the feasibility of Army's requirements for a Battle Management System.

In my role as the Technical Lead for M113AS4 Fleet Sustainment, I was responsible for the maintenance of 431 armoured personnel carriers. This required negotiating, planning and supervising a remediation program for the entire fleet of 431 vehicles to implement approximately 100 engineering changes.

In this role, I was the sole engineer in the project and oversaw the engineering effort of a $12m project from project inception to completion, including requirements definition, design reviews, and acceptance testing for the delivery of 20ft refrigerated containers (qty 60) and 10ft refrigerated containers (qty 120). This project was conducted using a waterfall methodology with multiple design reviews, test & evaluation, and production runs with quality control.
