Acting Director of Track Engineering

Project coordination for internal and 3rd Party Engineering, Construction Support, and Maintenance of Infrastructure.Coordinate track and right-of-way specific project activities for both in-house and third party construction.Process and coordinate various third party requests to enter onto property to perform work, analyze and review submitted information, and plan outages and SEPTA support, where necessary.Operate track geometry measuring and recording software during quarterly rail geometry testing and inspection.Analyze geometry data from test vehicles, to generate defect reports for verification.Monitor and inspect elevated structure joints at determined locations for compliance within thermal constraints. Prepare engineering documents, designs, and specifications for in-house and third-party projects. Prepare, submit, and follow up with permitting requests, such as: GPIS, Street Closure applications (City of Phila.), Pa 1-Call utility location, and HOP (PADOT).Provide engineering design and field support on various track construction projects throughout the region, including roadbed construction, street track construction, at-grade crossings, turnouts, crossovers, and retaining walls. Specialize in various types of precast concrete and asphalt/rubber crossing surfaces.Coordinate projects with various state, county, and local municipalities, utilities, and agencies, (PADOT, City of Philadelphia, etc.).Prepare specifications for various track remediation projects.Prepare Traffic Control Plans, manage and coordinate with contractors.Provide review of dimensional load movement applications, for "high & wide" freight movements, from third parties.Manage snow removal crews at specified locations, during snow events, providing a safe environment for patrons of the system.Track engineering, surveying, & design.AutoCAD; Microstation/Bentley Rail-Track SuiteNORAC & RWP Certified.FEMA IS-00100.b; IS-00200.b

Welder/Fitter - Assembled boiler tube assemblies, superheaters, fin-tubes, and burner panels to OEM specifications, for numerous refineries, power plants, and other boiler-equipped customers.Upon moving into the Engineering group, I was responsible for the engineering & design of replacement OEM boiler tubes, superheater assemblies, fin-tubes, swaged pipes, and burner panels.Organized and updated the database from DOS to Microsoft Access.Managed and organized personnel and resources for an audit of a multi-million dollar tubing inventory.Travelled to locations both in and out of state, to meet with clients and obtain measurements and data from boilers that were to be taken out of service, to minimize the down time.
