Leads and directed a senior staff of 20 Logisticians in coordinating, planning, sourcing (procurement), repairing, and delivering/returning material and/or services from/to both Federal and commercial sources to sustain, maintain, repair, and alter MSC ships operating worldwide.Participated with applicable ship engineering and logistics staffs in the planning of material and services requirements for assigned ship classes to support operation, maintenance, and repair throughout all life cycle phases (construction, operation, maintenance, change of operating status, and decommissioning).Ensured procurement actions were initiated for all standard (Federal Stock Number) and non-standard (commercial source) material, equipment, and service requirements. Applied knowledge of marine equipment/systems, Federal and commercial sector sourcing, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) procurement package composition, Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, and acquisition/transportation lead times to ensure appropriate procurement method were utilized and that material/service order requirements were submitted IAW established policies and procedures.Supported ship life cycle engineering and logistics staffs to initiate equipment repair/refurbishment actions, monitor status of repairs, and coordinate resolution of technical/administrative issues to facilitate timely return of MSC equipment.Monitored order fulfillment process from commercial vendors, Federal Supply System, and Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Real-time Reutilization Asset Management (RRAM) and other services.
