My greatest motivation comes from being part of exceptional teams that are accountable for turning business ideas/needs into value-driven products through the use of technology, including applications and/or business intelligence solutions. I have been fortunate to work for both a large, multi-billion dollar enterprise as well as small businesses. In the large enterprise I have learned the value of structure, cross functional teamwork, and operational efficiency. In the small businesses I have learned the value of late night coffee, agility, creative thinking, and humility. I believe real growth comes from a blend of both.I have been an Entrepreneur, Product Owner, and most recently, a leader of Enterprise Product Owners who are responsible for defining technical products in subject areas including, finance, marketing, supply chain and accounting. I have worked extensively in agile development and believe in continuous, incremental delivery of business value. I have started a small business from scratch and was able to build it to where it generated well over $1 million in annual revenue. I sold the business and achieved an ROI of over 112%. Whether it has been working for a large enterprise, small business or as an entrepreneur, I have learned the only path to success is through teamwork. As a leader of teams, I believe people need to believe in the importance and purpose of their contributions. They need the autonomy to challenge, the autonomy to fail, and the encouragement to continue to grow as both individuals and as members of the team.
