Oversees all HSE-related matters within the plant and, amongst other things, ensures and documents:That the necessary training (induction and training courses) is carried out; certification of the induction of personnel and their training is provided based on signed-off lists of names.That the work equipment used is tested and that the test results are documented (verification, e.g. by copies of the test results, photographic documentation of stickers etc.)That all the documents listed in the HSE Manual (e.g. written instructions for the use of hazardous substances, hazard analysis for hazardous substances, explosion prevention document, etc.) is available. Planning and overseeing the execution of emergency and evacuation drills in consultation with the plant management regularly in order to ensure practicability of emergency procedures and the level of qualification of the site personnel.Advising on allQuality & HSE-related matters and, in agreement with the Plant Manager, can implement the necessary measures for compliance with the HSE requirements and observance of the project-specific HSE-Documents.•Daily inspection of the site and checking compliance with the relevant regulations for safety and the prevention of accidents and the environmental protection requirements taking into account the HSE-Documents. •Coordination of the subcontractors' HSE supervisors•Preparation of regular reports to the site management relating to the safety situation on site and the outcome of meetings and inspections. Documentation of compliance with the requirements of the Quality & HSE-DocumentsProduction of minutes of the HSE meetingsPreparation of inspection reports using the HSE inspection checklists. Monthly preparation of progress reports (e.g. by using HSE action plan).Documentation of certificates of conformity and evidence of adequate safety standards. Preparation of HSE statistics according to the requirements of the HSE Manual. 

• Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of ECCL Health and Safety policy.• Develop and enforce Health and Safety procedures.• Work closely with the neighborhood communities to foster good safety behaviors.• Act as an environmental adviser to clients on hazardous waste management and the need to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment.• Conduct internal Environment, Health & Safety audit of the company premise.• Work closely with the company and government on matters related to Environment, Health & Safety and ensure that OSH regulations are fully implemented within the company.• Report to the EHS Manager and the General Manager and work hand in hand with all operating functions to promote safe work practices and enhance safety awareness within the company.• Conduct a risk assessment for various projects undertaken by the company and recommends precautions and control measures to be taken while performing these tasks.• Assist in developing safety operating procedures (SOP) for various tasks performed within the company.

• Carrying out research on hazardous waste management• Conducting gas test emission analysis and compiling a daily, weekly and monthly report of the same for submission to NEMA for approval.• Assist in overseeing the implementation of ECCL Environment, Healthy and Safety policy.• Acting as an environmental advisor to clients on hazardous waste management and the need to ensure a clean and healthy environment.• Assist in conducting internal Environmental and Safety audit of the company premise• Assisting in ensuring proper environment, health and safety of the workers within the company • Carry out any other activity as may be assigned by the Environment, Health & Safety manager or the general manager.
