Implement and maintain the CA Clarity Project Management tool at customer sites and in hosted environments. The Clarity tool runs on Windows and Linux, with a Oracle and MSSQL backend.From discussing requirements with customers, implementing new instances, updating and maintaining existing instances, and creating new content for the future; my day to day tasks vary.

Database analysis, usability analysis, and understanding what the user wants. You can spend your time working on something for months, but if it's not going to give the user something they need, you've wasted your time.I meet with the customers to understand their needs, as well as understand what data they have available. Then I create for them a view into their data using ActiveMetrics. This gives them the business intelligence they need to understand what's happening right now.

Worked with MSSQL and Visual Basic, along with other software, to create lab software for pharmaceutical companies. Working with a project manager, I would develop and test the software as well as help deploy remotely to the customer site.

The work was quite different, day to day. Some days I would travel within North America to customer sites to help install the software, create content on site, or train on the proper use of the programs. Other days would be spent in a QA lab attempting to troubleshoot issues. And yet other days would be spent on the phone in a customer service role attempting to help customers with issues.
