I have worked across an extensive range of roles within UK government, including strategy, policy and legislation, spending my formative years working in, and leading, Private Office support for senior government officials and Non-Executive Directors. Prior to my time in working in government, I have worked for both research councils - conducting national and international reviews - as well as in academia, conducting comparative research across a range of policy domains with My PhD was in risk, comparing approaches to risk-based regulation of food safety across the European Union. I have a an MSc in risk analysis, and a BSc in the history, philosophy and social studies of science.
