While hired as an assistant manager, I quickly replaced the Store Manager that was present through accountability and focus in performative achievement. Having hired and established a new team for a challenged location. As well as increasing the retention rate for the given market by assessing competitive wages and improving the store work environment. My team and I have branched to support other locations, while maintaining our standard of excellence at our home store.

Competition without commission. Having worked with a wonderful team, we collectively learned how to coexist as store leaders for a location that didn't have an established manager above all. Although the location struggled with foot traffic, individual and team metrics rivaled that of the New York locations. Leaders at the American Dream location were sought out by our sister stores in the NYC metro area for our adaptation and leadership skills.

Professional Opinion: In order for there to be internal growth, there must be rigid, and thought out procedures to focus on who can take the business the furthest. The same goes for the opposite, only a true leader can navigate a team full of potential and place them in an environment that would see them succeed.

Professional Opinion: A brand having been capable of salvaging the Hallmark in-store experience is quite formidable. Having inherited a customer following and maintaining a varied product line allows this brand to continually grow. At the time of my employment, the brand wasn't quite equipped with the necessary tools to develop and invest in potential. Having revised several locations, this brand has achieved some successes in this area.

Great location to learn the basics of retail, while managing high volume and traffic. This is where visual prowess can easily explored and tested. It's simply not a skill anyone can have, but under the right conditions it can be found. And that's exactly where I strived to grow from here.
