A strong background in marketing and ecommerce, as well as a decade of experience in publishing. Since developing and launching the England online store for The Football Association in 1997 I have been heavily involved in all aspects of online retailing working for amongst others Manchester United, SportsDirect, The ECB, the Italian shoe brand Superga and the online retail association IMRG. Most recently, I have spent the last three years as the Head of Digital for GS1 UK helping to shape the strategy to enable GS1 UK's retail members utilise GS1 Standards to trade more effectively online. At Global Office, my responsibilities will be to promote and support the new GS1 structured data standard GS1 SmartSearch and the Key Authentication project to help GS1's 112 Member Organisations operating in 150 countries inform its 1.2 million business members of the benefits of the GS1 Global Standards to enable successful Omni-Channel retailing.
