Family Physician with over 23 years of professional medical experience. Originally from Rochester NY, but lived in Sao Jose dos Campos and Sao Paulo Brasil from 1981 to 1987. Speaks conversational Portuguese. Traveled extensively to over 40 individual countries. Initiated a career in the military via R.O.T.C. at the University of Notre Dame. Attended the Uniformed Services University and completed residency at Fort Benning, GA. Flight Surgeon, Airborne, and Air Assault qualified. Served through a myriad of Army levels, including clinic command, Division Surgeon, Faculty Development Fellow, Residency Director (4 years), Deputy Commander, WTU Surgeon, and Executive Officer. Deployed in support of operations in Kosovo, Kuwait, and Iraq. Duty stations included Bethesda (MD), Fort Benning (GA), Giebelstadt Germany, Fort Lewis (WA), Fort Hood (TX), and Fort Drum (NY). Retired in September of 2019 with over 25 years of active duty service, and three years of service with the Army Reserves. Currently serving as Medical Director, River Family Health Center and volunteer Medical Director for the Hammond School District.
