The Insurance Industry is a great place to work and I would highly recommend it for younger people with an ambition to succeed.I have been fortunate to have been in the Industry for over forty years and with the various positions I have had it has allowed me to hone my skills in many different areas and especially with the highly important facet of the management of people.With seventeen years at Suncorp/Promina I have led a Team responsible for all their commercial insurance online applications, led our Team in setting up the first Australian end to end "application" for customers to buy commercial insurance online under the AAMI Brand after our highly successful launch of the online "Market Stall Insurance" product.I was instrumental in the setting up of the business insurance product under the AAMI Brand whilst Operations Manager and then National Manager of AAMI Business Insurance responsible for the Customer Service Centre, product underwriting, claims and analysis.Prior to my tenure at AAMI Business Insurance, I was the Operations Manager of AAMI in Adelaide with my Teams responsible for all customer and supplier interactions encompassing Customer Service Centres, all motor and home Assessing requirements, the entire end to end claims process as well as all Motor Repairer Management.Prior to AAMI I was the Commercial Division Manager with VACC Insurance (eventually purchased by IAG) responsible for all commercial insurance including Underwriting, Claims and the external Sales Team.My previous roles in Sales, Underwriting and as a User Analyst has given me the all round experience to be confident in most facets of the Insurance Industry together with the Motor Repair Industry where I have spent the last seven months as the General Manager of a large Crash Repair business.
