I started as a Jointers Mate and have worked my way up to my current level of 132kv Jointer. I've worked on systems ranging from 11kv up to 400kv, including faults, services and new installations. I have been trained, have certification and experience working on fluid filled cables and i am competent in the processes and techniques involved in jointing these types of cables, such as sweating and pressing ferals, applying paper insulation, chamfering paper insulation and plumbing on both lead and aluminium sheathed cables. I have worked on most types of cables and am qualified to work on PILC, Fluid Filled and XLPE at various voltages.I can work on auxiliaries such as pilot cable jointing, flat earthing tape, bonding and link boxes.XLPE cables i am certifed to work on 33kv and 132kv. I have gained a lot of experience on both of these voltages working on straight joints, end terminations and sealing ends, GIS terminations and transitions joints. I have worked on many accessories including Prysmian Composite Sealing Ends, Click Fit GIS Terms, Click Fit Straight Joints, GIS End Terms and Pre-mold Straight Joints all 132kv. I have worked with Tyco, Raychem, Pfisterer and 3M at 33kv. I have some experience working with Brugg cable and there accessories (sealing ends and straight joints) also 132kv.
