Promoted to Domain Architect of Wealth after being a Lead Software Engineer in the same area; this team has over 100 members.The product is a scalable service architecture, centred around the Wealth Management domain. The back-end is built using Spring Boot with the front-end built in Angular. The back-end uses REST, Kafka and JMS to communicate with other services and is run on Kubernetes.In this role I focused on larger architectural topics including evolving and stabilising the product to reach production quality and shaping the future evolution of the product.I was also able to spend more time aligning with other teams to ensure standardisation of technology throughout different parts of the system. The aim of this is to reduce implementation costs and introduce a better integrated suite of products.My role continued to be hands-on with a focus on building the product in a maintainable way towards the go live of our clients.

Developed the next generation Avaloq Wealth Platform from inception. This product provided Wealth Management capabilities to banks in a scalable and accessible way.We followed a microservices based architecture. We created a strong boundary around our product, allowing us to provide a decoupled service which could be integrated in different configurations.I took particular focus on instilling quality and maintainability into our code base; I aimed to make the code clear and logical.I am praised for being able to get to the bottom of complex problems without oversight and also being a great source of assistance to my team members; I look to unblock and increase their knowledge whenever needed.

I moved to be a Software Developer in Portfolio Management at Avaloq and was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer.The software we worked on was a Portfolio Management module of the company’s core product. This ran on an Oracle DB, built in PL/SQL and some company DSLs.I took ownership of parts of the system and brought stability to this area. Our component was used by many customers, and during this time I fixed and extended the functionality dramatically.The company took part in an Agile shift during this time, at which point I also became a Scrum Master for our team.During this time I also provided assistance to other teams, where I demonstrated quick uptake of different technologies. Our team also started some prototypes which would lay the groundwork for the future platform I moved onto after this.

Part time weekend work to fund my way through university, Job involved dealing with customer enquires about electronic items, teaching other members of staff, taking stock checks and often operating the photo shop.

I was taken on for my work experience as an IT assistant where I had many responsibilities, I was given task like maintenance of the company's servers, Attending meetings, Maintenance of the client side machines of the company and dealing with the company's end users queries and problems.
