David Maynard is smart, detailed and effective as the sole Workout Officer at New Valley Bank and Trust. In a strive for new experiences and to broaden his work experience, David took this position at New Valley Bank as it was a new Bank, only three years old when he started. His belief was that this would provide him the opportunity to make a lasting impact in terms of process and policy that was not available during experience at multinational banks. Prior to his current position David worked as a Workout Officer in Santander Bank's National Healthcare/Not-for-Profit Workout Division. David's pragmatic approach to Workout negotiations has yielded strong recovers for Santander Bank, one of the largest and highest rated banks in the world, well in excess of initial projections. Prior to the Workout position, David worked as a Senior Commercial Credit Professional wherein, in tandem with his Sales Partner, he brought creative banking solutions to a portfolio consisting of diverse industries with varying financial needs. Along with analyzing the business needs, David was also directly involved with developing and implementing business solutions and crafting the bank's offerings. Prior to Santander, David worked for TD Bank, another international bank, as a Senior Credit Analyst underwriting, analyzing, and managing portfolios of commercial clients with the goal if decreasing and managing risk. David's specialties include; Asset Based Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Commercial & Industrial Lending, Hypothecation Lending, Cash Flow Lending, and Restaurant Lending. David brings both a practical and pragmatic approach to management of his current portfolio which has yielded significant success in its performance. David holds a bachelors of science in Finance from Bentley University, formal credit training from TD Bank, and studies in Business Operations from the University of Connecticut.
