I am responsible for managing clients, projects and marketing initiatives. As a part of the Leadership Team, I worked across all departments to craft and execute cohesive market messaging and strategies. I worked closely with news, circulation, and advertising to create new ideas for events and sponsorships that increased revenue, engagement, community participation, and readership. I helped drive revenue by working with the Sales & Advertising team to execute on these ideas. A significant portion of my responsibilities was event planning - coordinating logistics for various events from negotiating venues, to working with clients on in-kind opportunities and donations.

I teach Media Analysis and Criticism to college juniors and seniors. I create and communicate course curriculum with an emphasis on student engagement and empowerment as critical thinkers about media messages.

I was responsible for filling in for K-12th grade teachers as needed in the Springfield Public Schools.

I was the Instructor of Record from December 2008 to May 2009 for two Media, Journalism & Film Department Core Courses: Media 204 (Survey of Media Theory) and Media 454 (Media Analysis and Criticism). From August 2007 to December 2008, I taught two lab sections of an Introduction to Mass Media course.

I assisted in daily duties in the writer's room from making copies to sitting in as acting writer's assistant, taking notes for the writing team and navigating communications between studio, network and show.

I was responsible for the creation of a live daily one hour morning news broadcast for the Springfield, MO CBS affiliate. Specific duties included writing the stories for the show, editing video, organizing the show order, and leading the production team and on-air team in the execution of each daily broadcast.

Responsibilities included operating cameras and teleprompter as well as floor directing live daily newscasts, entering and running live Chyron, as well as assisting with field productions.
