Due to a desire to buy clothes and shoes I left college mid A levels and began my career at Barclaycard where I developed many skills during my 14 year employment (1993 - 2007). I started in a basic admin role, spent time as customer services front line telephone operative & progressed to Team Leader and then Customer Relations Manager dealing with high level complaints. I learned the value and importance of good team working throughout these roles. Barclaycard invested heavily in their staff and development and I developed high standards and learnt the value of my excellent interpersonal skills.When made redudant this allowed me to change my focus and I joined the NHS in Oct 2007 first as PA I then wanting more responsibility and experience, I opted for a sideways move into Medical Staffing which gave me wealth of knowledge and an interest in workforce management. I have a huge passion for technology improving working lives and for driving change so I was very interested in the implementation of eRostering at the Trust. My passion and enthusiasm was recognised & I was successful in obtaining a post as e-Rostering Implementation/Systems Lead in July 2012 andin October 2013 my team were over the moon to win the National Allocate award for Staff Engagement along with being highly commended in the category of Project Team of the Year. We worked hard to engage with all staff and this helped our successful implementation across the Organisation and different staff groups. We successfully implemented across the ICO.I am an expert in using Allocate's HealthRoster system but also in change management and ensuring the Trust realised the benefits from using the software. I lead roster scrutiny sessions where I challenged processes to ensure managers were using the system to its full capability and effectively utilising their workforce. I lead on the roll out of Medic Online across the Trust and pre the Covid pandemic I was selected as a member of our Finance Improvement Team (FIT) - a hugely successful collaboration of like minded individuals who not only identify savings but drove the changes to realise them too.I was fundamental in the success of the Greater Manchester vaccination programme leading on the set up of a new Bank, all of the rosters and building successful new relationships.October 21 the temptation to roster a country was too much and I took up a role with Allocate (now RLDatix) to implement eRostering solutions across Scotland, a challenging yet extremely rewarding programme. In Jan 24 I have moved into the wider Services team.
