A drug developer and biopharma entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience.Trained as a pharmacologist and grew career from bench to boardroom through a series of positions of increasing seniority starting in large pharma through small biotech up to founding InSymbiosis in 2005.Involved in and led many drug discovery and development programs across multiple therapeutic areas. Recent experience covers the span from animal POC to human POC.Founded InSymbiosis in 2005 with the objective of addressing the issues of escalating costs and time lines in biopharma drug development. Our business model was unique in that we brought capital and expertise together under one roof and applied it to biopharma collaborations focused at advancing drug assets from late discovery to Phase II clinical POC. After 14 years of operation we have become the reference for highly managed outsourced drug development solutions or as we sometimes call it, the virtual CRO model. I sold InSymbiosis to Camargo in June of 2019.Based on the success of the InSymbiosis model, I launched InSymbiosis Capital, a strategic investment arm of InSymbiosis. We made several investments in early stage biotech companies and we are now managing our investment relationships.Following a passion for the environment and the ocean, I recently founded a marine technology start up called Ocean Diagnostics Inc. We are developing technologies to tackle the ocean microplastics pollution problem.
