As the founding Director of Azure Capital, established a PE fund focused on investments in India. Put together initial business plans, raised seed capital, built a strong team of investment professionals hired from leading companies, secured approval from Indian regulatory authority (SEBI) for launching first fund and led fund raising.Launching a successful startup in the India PE sector has been an amazing experience. Unfortunately, setting up the fund in India meant significant time away from family in USA and had to leave Azure after two exciting years to take care of family. Fund strategy and team strength has been validated by the recent acquisition of Azure’s equity by a leading Indian company.
