The Pacific Alliance of YMCAs serves its 31 member YMCAs through influencing public policy and connection to strategic solutions to expand local and collective impact in service to solving critical social issues in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.The CEO is responsible for the effective execution of Y-USA key deliverables per agreement with Y-USA including building the organizational capacity of individual YMCAs.The principal objectives are as follows:• Ensures the Alliance has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.• Promotes active and broad staff and volunteer participation in Alliance work through local YMCAs.• Identifies and coordinates strategic initiatives that support and advance the objectives of the Alliance strategic plan and the Y National Movement.• Provides support to Alliance YMCAs through strategic planning, executive transition, Y+Y collaborations and board development guidance.• Recruits, develops, supervises and releases any Alliance personnel (Alliance staff, Volunteers and Interns).• Develops and maintains a budget, operating within the budget guidelines and reports to the Executive Committee of the Alliance.• Identifies struggling associations in need of intervention support.• Plans and administers key conferences for the Alliance.• Facilitates the building of organizational capacity of all the region’s Ys and provides opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and support.• Works with the Executive Committee of the Alliance and staff in the effective execution of key deliverables for the Alliance.• Aligns Alliance work with that of Y-USA both programmatically and legislatively.

The Alliance Consultant is tasked with building the capacity of YMCA’s in Washington, Hawaii, Alaska and Oregon through the use of performance consulting methodology to assess the member Y’s highest organizational needs and the delivery of strategic services. The individual will focus on board governance, strategic planning and collaborations/networks. They may also be called upon to assist in CEO on-boarding and CEO searches. The Joshua Community YMCA was made possible by a $5 million contribution from the City of Joshua. The Hood County YMCA was made possible through the passing of a local bond. The Hood County YMCA has more than doubled the size of its membership base as a result of the new facility• Revitalized Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA Board by adding 21 new board members, reworking and improving committee structure, and implementing succession plan• Raised more than $867,000 in annual support over four years at the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA, collecting a minimum of 85% each year. Raised $226,644 for Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA for 2017 campaign, the most in this Y’s history• Implemented YMCA of the USA annual campaign best practices, strengthening the annual campaign, leading to 15% growth in region campaign over five years• Led the Amon G.
