Member of the Town of Hempstead’s bio-extraction team. Responsibilities include: -Maintaining and operating a shellfish hatchery-Building and monitoring oyster reefs-Growing clams used to seed hempstead bay-Growing and planting sugar kelp in hempstead bay-Phytoplankton species monitoring and data collection -Assisting ornithologists with bird trapping and population monitoring

Intern for the Town of Hempstead's department of Conservation and Waterways.

Organization, collection and submission of environmental data. Environmental field sampling. Daily atmospheric data collection and submission to NOAA's database. Weekly collection of water quality data and phytoplankton data (species variation and population) at 15 sites in the Great South Bay of Long Island. Seasonal monitoring of horseshoe crab populations at 11 assigned sites on Long Island. Assisting in captive horseshoe crab breeding for biological study and repopulation.
