About Devon Lohrasbe
Hi! I'm Devon. I'm a learning designer with a background in academic research and 8 years of creating and managing online learning across multiple industries. I work best with teams who care about impact and are open to creative solutions.Talking about yourself is tough, so here are a few compliments that I hold dear to my heart:"I think Devon knocked it out of the park. It was actually what we needed." (fellow team member, comment on training survey)"Devon is a brilliant learning designer and has worked with me through [this project]. I can't speak enough about how amazing she is in her work with subject matter folks to create a course that is engaging and really gets at the heart of what we are trying to achieve through learning." (senior leader, introducing me to someone)"Do you have a youtube channel? You should, I'd watch it." (fellow phd student, after a presentation)"I wouldn't have learned nearly as much and it wouldn't have been nearly as comfortable without you here." (fellow phd student, last day of an intensive course)"Keep making complicated things simple." (facilitator, feedback in a teaching workshop)"When you started, I'm not convinced we truly understood what being an instructional designer meant, and the role was fairly vague. You stepped up and showed us how much we were missing, and misunderstanding. You have gone above and beyond and continue to every single day. You've brought structure, processes, and a voice of reason to all of our projects. You've brought understanding and enabled our agents to feel confident. This transition would not be a success without you. Despite every day being full of new surprises, you show up with a smile, sense of humour, and maintain that friendly face we've all come to appreciate." (colleague, speaking about our work together)
