Many people search their entire life for two things. 1) A passion that motivates them to get out of bed in the morning.2) A job they love so much, that it doesn’t feel like work.I’ve been blessed to find both of these things at 25 years of age. I have struggled with addiction since I was 19 years old. It was such a huge part of my life. I knew if I ever found a way to move past it, I would have to share it with others. I am so grateful to be able to work with families & friends of those struggling with an addiction. It allows me to share what helped me overcome my struggles.Gulf Breeze Recovery was the facilitator of my turn around in life, so it only made sense to go to work for them. Working at Gulf Breeze Recovery allows me to be there for families who feel like they have done everything there is to do for their loved one, and yet it is not enough. Typically the families i speak with are ready to give up when we speak for the first time. Thankfully I am able to let them know that just before my family and I gave up, we found a different way to approach my issues. With an understanding of the principles we share here at Gulf Breeze Recovery, I no longer see myself or anyone else as an “addict”. It was something I did, but not who I was or will ever be. Just being able to share this one truth with someone who feels as though there are no more options, is what drives me out of bed each morning. I am so grateful to do the work I do, because it isn’t work to me. It’s a passion, and I will continue to help people see who they really are, and what they can become as long as I live.
