I develop and maintain multi-level relationships with designated IFA’s and their support staff with a view of generating incremental investment opportunities from IFA’s. This is achived through multi channel communications from developemt, organising and presenting at investment conferences for IFA’s, through to face to face client meetings to build trust and ensure comprehension and alignment of IFA’s service offering to the philosophy and long term goals of Allan Gray. Within this role I identify trends in the industry and develop a strong understanding of our competitors in order to compare the performance and market appeal of their company’s product range and recommend areas for improvement ensuring that threats are countered, and opportunities are exploited. I ensure the highest standard of service excellence towards financial advisers and clients. I keep and maintain a portfolio of evidence showing how their business plan has been executed relative to plan as required by the BDM competency mode within Allan Gray.

Developed professional relationships with over 60 clients while advising a total of R25 million AUM. Profiled and analysed investment products to develop customized financial strategies for clients' financial needs. Conducted comprehensive portfolio reviews to re-evaluate objectives and projected portfolio performance. Wrote economic updates and other industry related articles. Conducted basic investment analysis and research. Assisted clients in taking full advantage of brokerage/banking solutions to deepen the relationship and offer better client satisfaction. Performed ad hoc queries, data extracts and various data analysis required for financial planning.

Conducted comprehensive portfolio reviews to reevaluate objectives and projected portfolio performance on retirement annuities, preservation funds and discretionary investments (i.e unit trusts and endowments);. Advised clients quarterly and annually on portfolio performance ensuring clients needs aligned with projected results. Generated and retained both new and existing clients using a personal, face-to-face and communication channels to ensure trust and place great emphasis on personalazied service to the individual investors.

Generating business investment case ideas through in-depth strategic, competitive, and financial statement research and analysis. Built and maintanied detailed financial models. Performed analytical reviews of audit documents and prepare necessary financial statement reports and documentation for a company including reviewing data on material assets, net worth, liabilities, income and expenditures; and examining and evaluating financial and information systems for efficiency.
