Discovery STEM Academy At Magruder

As a part of developing our K-5 STEM program, I am in charge of coordinating the curriculum efforts of the district, leads and staff to ensure we are experts in the fields of STEM. In addition to helping write and manage curriculum, I lead and organize in house PDs for our teachers, offer co-teaching support and serve as part of our resource staff training.

I moved to Magruder to serve a pilot for training staff to implement STEM in primary classrooms. I was self contained in a second grade classroom, learning how to use inquiry and STEM at the primary level. I also co-taught with colleagues to develop mixed ability groups.
