Designed and developed a purpose-built agricultural drone platform along with the flight control computer to provide autonomous flight to a drone consisting of a heterogeneous wing and motor system, enabling a broad variety of payloads and motor configurations. The system uses an array of camera and LIDAR systems with a custom AI agent to identify targets and execute configurable missions including insect control. I designed and built the sensor systems and the pesticide application systems, both of which have multiple patents pending to identify active insect populations and to precision-treat crops to reduce the amount of pesticide runoff as compared to traditional methods.

Designed and implemented the data architecture and systems design for an AWS cloud-based health and wellness SaaS product. Identified candidates and hired skilled people who matched our culture to help build an amazing company. Worked with Product Management to ensure the development of a quality product that meets our customers' needs.

Taught DSBA 6156 - Applied Machine Learning, DSBA 6165 - AI & Deep Learning, and DSBA 6160 - Database Systems for Data Scientists. Developed course materials for each class and participated in the development of curricula for the overall Data Science program at UNCC.

The Data Science and Business Analytics (DSBA) program at UNC Charlotte is a partnership between the College of Computing and Informatics and the Belk College of Business.DSBA is interdisciplinary program at the intersection of business, computer and information sciences, statistics, and operations research. The program leads to an M.S. in Data Science and Business Analytics. It is a blend of business acumen, data understanding, advanced analytics methods, and hands-on experience with big data and business problems.

Worked with entomologists for a large pest management company to develop agent-based models of insect populations in portions of Charlotte, NC to predict pest population spikes and to proactively identify treatment plan changes to minimize customer impacts based on business types.

In this role, I work with line-of-business (LOB) partners, external providers, company technology providers, and our internal technology delivery team to define our next-generation solution to deliver card-linked offers to our Consumer, Small-Business, and Wealth Management customers. Led technology team responsible for the implementation of the BankAmeriDeals technology platform, a merchant-funded reward program that provides valuable discounts to Bank of America customers. Managed the systems engineering function responsible for infrastructure architecture & design, capacity engineering, vendor management, and application governance functions for a system that mines over 90TB (9.6 billion customer transactions) nightly for over 40 million program participants. The system, utilizing Microsoft .Net, SQL Server, Redis, and other technologies, consists of almost 1,000 virtual and physical servers that support over 2.4 million concurrent users through the Bank of America Online and Mobile Banking channels. This work resulted in one patent issued and four currently pending related to data analysis and presentation methods.

Led the creation of a technology shared services organization supporting five application development teams responsible for the development and maintenance of the underwriting, fulfillment, and risk monitoring of the commercial credit portfolio. Managed the application governance activities for over 100 applications supporting commercial lending and servicing, including interactions with OCC / FFIEC. Worked directly with Tier 1 hardware / software vendors to improve the software & hardware infrastructures that support mission critical applications. Managed a team of U.S. and global associates & contractors, in both direct-reporting and highly-matrixed organizational structures.Accomplishments:• Built a team of project managers, information architects, database & middleware engineers, infrastructure architects, and production support technicians that acted as a rapid response team to engage with technology partners to lead the resolution of pre- & post-production systems problems.• Worked with Microsoft to performance test critical applications, identify critical improvement projects, and worked with the senior leadership teams to integrate these projects into the initiative project cycle.• Worked with IBM, Microsoft, and EMC to improve the performance of our application infrastructure, including the addition of over 25TB of solid-state disk (SSD).
