Led a team of professionals focused on providing customer solutions that included analyses to understand failure modes, identify the root cause(s), inspections for impending failures, repair techniques and design changes to improve performance and mitigate risk.Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic engineering programs for the cost effective management of degradation mechanisms in power plant systems (e.g. Flow Assisted Corrosion, High Energy Piping, Turbines, Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, etc.).Managed an organization that provided materials engineering, materials testing, failure analysis, welding engineering, welder training, welder qualification, nondestructive evaluation, analytical chemistry, and process chemistry services. Responsible for strategic business plans, project management, O&M/capital budgets, goals and marketing to maintain the business for these services.Participated on numerous corporate and individual power plant teams to manage life cycle cost of the generating assets while maintaining safety, reliability, and performance. Responsible for the management of quality programs to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulatory requirements. Over 30 years experience performing condition assessments and life cycle evaluations of power plant components. Performed run/retire/repair evaluations on numerous major components and provided strategies to extend life and manage life cycle costs of power plant components.
