I am a program and project management professional in the construction industry with a Bachelor of Science focused in Civil Engineering. I have a demonstrated history of working in both the government administration industry and private sector, with a proven track record of organizing and leading high-level performing project teams for vertical and horizontal construction, renovations, interior build-outs, and demolition projects. These teams are comprised of architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, departmental directors, and community stakeholders. Acting in an owner's representative capacity for capital construction projects for the City of Detroit requires me to be engaged early in the project during the planning stage to assist the city departments with establishing project budgets and obtaining approvals for projects from city council, boards, and local authorities. I maintain communication with these entities and the media until the project is completed. Once the project is approved, I am responsible for contracting with and overseeing the team of professionals by managing the project schedule, budget, and quality of work to meet the needs of the city departments. I review, negotiate, and authorize payment to parties contracted for the project.
