The Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners (SMHP) is a nonprofit representing all researchers and practitioners working to improve metabolic health around the world through education, training, and support of evidence-based nutritional approaches, including carbohydrate reduction, as a valid therapeutic intervention. A number of Accreditation pathways have been defined such that members may get accredited. This ensures their competence in the field of Metabolic Medicine and entitles them to display the credentials MHP (Metabolic Health Partitioner) after their name.

LowCarbUSA was formed with the intention of exposing the real scientific research in the field of nutrition to the public at large. This is achieved by hosting large scientific conferences where this research is presented and engaging in extensive traditional media and social media campaigns to maximize the exposure. The company is also informed with coordinating advocacy efforts to lobby congress for changes in the USDA dietary guidelines and for changes in the training for doctors and medical personnel on the real consequences of diet on health. A coaching course has also been created to provide information and mentoring for those who are intent on embracing the Low Carbohydrate Lifestyle.

1. Managed program for Thomson to deliver a Settop box to a new operator (Bharti) in India. This was an ST (5202) platform running NDS middleware, CA and Guide. Co-ordinated efforts of engineers in India, the US, Korea, UK and China. Managed expectations of difficult customer during the delivery. Also oversaw production process and testing facility at a new factory location in Chennai.2. Managed the software program for OpenTv to deliver a HD, DVR SetopBox to Panasonic for the SkyPerfect in Japan. ST(7105) platform running OpenTv Middleware, integrated CA, drivers from Panasonic, TeleIdea guide. Also provided System Integration supportl. Co-ordinating efforts between teams from the US, Holland, UK and Japan was very challenging. 3. Managed program for Thomson to deliver a cutting edge HD, PVR settop box to BSkyB. This was a Broadcom platform running OpenTv middleware with CA and EPG from NDS. Teams in the US, Europe and Israel were involved an extremely critical deadline.4. Program manager for Google for delivery and installation of new cutting edge advertisement insertion system at Echostar. Co-ordinated efforts of development engineers at Google, Echostar broadcast personal at the uplink in Cheyenne as well as the programming and data collection team in Denver.5. Managed delivery of an IP based HD PVR settop box for OpenTv to customer in Mitchell, South Dakota. Broadcom Platform (7109) running OpenTv Core2.0 middleware with a TeleIdea Guide and Verimatrix CA.6. Managed project to integrate the Adobe Flash Player with the Intel platforms utilising the Media centric CE3100 and CE4100 CPUs. In the end the platforms need to be certified by successfully negotiating the Certification Test Suite (DCTS) provided by Adobe. 7. Managed team to port a specialised interactive application developed by TvWorks to OpenTv middleware such that it could run on the suite of Motorola boxes in the Comcast network

Managed relationship with BSkyB and co-ordinated efforts of development engineers at Thomson. This was an HD PVR settop box on a Broadcom platform running OpenTv middleware with CA and EPG from NDS. This involved teams in the US and Europe and Israel and we had a very critical deadline here (the start of the World Cup Football) which added to the challenge! Also filled the role as technical lead on the development of the cost down version of this box.

Managed commissioning of systems for Sky LA (Mexico and Brazil) as well as RCN in Chicago. Coordinated efforts between the customer, UEC and NDS and helped to debug firmware to stabilise the platforms for launch or release of new phase of firmware.

Managed relationship with Starchoice and orchestrated delivery of the HD, PVR settop box to them. This involved co-ordinating a joint development effort with OpenTv, Spyglass and Gist. Also responsible for architecture and technical lead for the Motorola software team.

Design and development of digital set top box for Starchoice. This was an HD, PVR box running OpenTv on VxWorks using and conforming to the Motorola DCII proprietary protocol. Used the Rational Unified Design Process and Rational Rose and implemented the code in C++.

Development of digital set top box running under OpenTV1.1 conforming to the MPEG2, DVB standards including the OSD drivers required by OpenTV. Developed in C under Windows '95. Assumed project lead during difficult integration phase

Development of SI (System Information) Engine and running on OpenTV middleware for a digital set top box conforming to the MPEG2, DVB and ETSI standards. Team leader for design of an OpenTV Application for verification of the callback path. Team leader for design of signature generation and authentication module for OpenTV applications.

Shell for all the avionics sub-systems for a remote piloted aircraft. Navigation sub-system for the same aircraft. Develop C interface for a 1553 Bus Driver. Opcode generator for a graphics card incorporating the TMS340 graphics chip.Development of a customised graphics chip with parallel processing capabilities together with Arcobel in Holland. Developed a digital charting system running on a card incorporating this graphics chip for an avionics environment.

PC based prototype for a large marine navigation system in Pascal, including the 1553 bus driver. Graphics library with an ADA interface for an RGI graphics card using the low level opcodes for the TMS340 graphics. Electronic charting system on a Multibus II platform for Marine vessels. Electronic chart verification system under UNIX and X Windows. Strict design standards which ensured a structured and audited environment for the design and development of software.
