After acquiring a small neighborhood gym in 2011, I founded Y2 Academia and increased the number of members by more than 800% and the revenue by more than 750% through restructuring and product portfolio optimization.In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I started applying agile methodologies into the gym, focusing on each individual (members and associates) and their interactions, constantly delivering small but meaningful improvements to our services and products, and quickly responding to changes and government restriction orders.Also, I effectively managed a team of 15+ employees, including interviewing, hiring, developing empowered teams with a strong belief in cross-functional collaboration, and successfully remote managing the organization.Additionally, I defined the company's strategy and planning, and coordinated online marketing campaigns and increased social media engagement by 50% by establishing new processes.Due to my relocation from Brazil to the US, I am utilizing my knowledge and skills acquired over 12+ years as a business owner and CEO to mentor and advise the new leaders of the company.

At the Brazilian Air Force Computing Center (CCA-SJ):After earning a MSc degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation, at NPS, I was assigned back to CCA-SJ to implement Virtual Reality (VR) into the Brazilian Air Force training.I developed a VR flight simulator prototype and presented it to the stakeholders. After trying the VR flight simulator, all of them enjoyed the experience and were able to understand the benefits that a simulator like that would bring for the trainings. So, the development of VR flight simulators was approved and authorized.Therefore, I led cross-functional teams on the development of VR flight simulators for the T-27 Tucano (already used by more than 1000 cadets and instructors at the BAF Academy) and for the A-29 Super Tucano (used for the training of BAF fighter pilots). On both projects, we used Agile Methodologies, specially Scrum and Kanban, and, due to restrictions on human resources, I also worked part-time as the Product Owner (PO) and as a developer (DevTeam).I was responsible for the full lifecycle of product development of the VR simulators, from problem definition and discovery to validation in the product environment, and conducted customers interviews and lean inception processes to define product requirements.Additionally, I managed a cross-functional team of 20+ members on the development and logistical support of the Brazilian Air Force flight simulators.

At the Brazilian Air Force Computing Center (CCA-SJ):I led cross-functional teams on the development of visual databases for flight simulators, implementing in C and C++ and using AutoCAD, ArcGis, and Photoshop. I was responsible for the full lifecycle of product development, from problem definition and discovery to validation in the product environment.When the Brazilian Air Force (BAF) acquired the Airbus C-295 Casa aircrafts and simulator, I was a member of the Full Flight Simulator (FFS) acceptance team. Additionally, I was responsible for creating the basic project of the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the C-295 FFS, and I was its contract manager from 2013 to 2016.As part of the Saab Grippen NG project, I led a cross-functional team of 4+ engineers and pilots on international meetings with stakeholders and defined requirements for a fifth-generation fighter aircraft full mission simulator.To ensure that the Mi-35M Full Mission Simulator (FMS) satisfied all the contract requirements, I led a cross-functional team of 6+ engineers, pilots, and specialists on international meetings and on the preliminary acceptance tests of the helicopter full mission simulator.Additionally, I worked with both national and foreign companies to discuss about partnership, product development and acquisition, and training needs analysis, and visited simulation centers in Sweden, United Kingdom, Israel, and Brazil.

At the Brazilian Air Force Computing Center (CCA-SJ):As a software designer, I led a cross-functional tem on the development of the Máquina de Simulação ("Simulation Machine”), a tool that runs combat simulations using planned data from two different teams.Also as a software designer, I led a cross-functional team of engineers and developers on the development of the software POMA-EMO ("Planning and Monitoring of Air Missions - Military Staff"), a tool that provides the Military Staff the ability to define the air operations directive's (AOD's) structure that will support the air operations center (AOC).As a software developer, I worked on the development of the software POMA-COAT ("Planning and Monitoring of Air Missions - Air Operations Center"), a tool that provides operators the ability to plan, visualize and deconflict air missions, and to compare the evolution of planned flights to the real flights in real-time.

• I teached Math, Physics, and Chemistry to high school students who were preparing themselves for college admission exams.
