Dr. Shailendra Singh is an assistant professor at NIT Agartala. Before joining NIT Agartala, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, Singapore, in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dr. Singh was a Visiting Scholar with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Golden, CO, USA. He has completed his PhD from IIT (BHU) Varanasi India, in the department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Singh was the recipient of the Bhaskara Advance Solar Energy (BASE-2018) Fellowship supported by DST, Govt. of India and Indo-US Science and Technology Forum, New Delhi, India. He was awarded POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA-2020) under Doctoral Category for his research work organized by Power System Operation Cooperation (POSOCO) Ltd in association with Fundamental for Innovation Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi.He has been working on various aspects of power systems for the last ten years primarily focusing on the integration of renewable power, energy storage systems, EV charging infrastructure and developing the control strategies that leverage these DERs for advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) applications such Distribution Energy Resources Management Systems (DERMS), Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO), Conservation of Voltage Reduction Optimal Power Flow (OPF), Network Reconfiguration and Micro-Grid Energy Management System (MG-EMS).
