About Eddy Martinez
Ever since I was 8 years old and my mom took me to the computer section at the Los Angeles Public Library, I’ve loved using and working with computers. When I was a teenager and got my own computer, it wasn’t long before I took it apart just like I used to take apart my toys to figure out how they worked. I soon discovered that I was more interested in software rather than hardware so I began to learn how to code and I've been doing it as a hobby ever since. Throughout my many positions, I've used my coding skills to write scripts and programs to ease and automate certain tasks like data entry and document writing. Doing that allowed me to see the value of coding even in tasks that seemingly are unrelated to it. However, my skills weren’t enough to create many of the applications I knew were possible but didn’t know how to implement. I enrolled in Tech Elevator to learn how to build functional and useful applications and turned into a career what had been a lifelong hobby. Along with my technical skills, I also acquired additional skills at previous positions such as working in a team, customer service, and data entry and sorting which give me an edge over others in the field.
