In addition, I regularly handle complex tax matters, tax opinions, controversy work with the Internal Revenue Service, captive insurance company tax matters and matters pertaining to tax exempt organizations.I also regularly handle the regulatory analysis for healthcare transactions including matters pertaining to the Stark Law, the Anti-kickback Statue, the Civil Monetary Penalty Statute. I have worked on the formation of accountable care organizations, value-based enterprises and clinical integration organizations. For over 25 years I have worked on the development of hospital and health systems, including tax exempt hospitals and hospital/physician relationships and bring a deep history and knowledge of the regulatory requirements as these requirements have evolved and been applied to hospital/physician relationships.As the healthcare industry transforms, I work with payors and providers, alike, to develop clinical integration organizations and arrangements, including accountable care organizations, to meet the objectives of healthcare reform.
