About Elliot Franshaw
I love to connect people. I’ve had a foot in different worlds since before I could walk, and I leverage my comfort in diversity and linguistic dexterity to serve as a translator; a bridge. Business. Science. Art. No matter what I’m writing about, I connect passionate people with greater communities by functioning as a voice box for the restlessly inventive among us. Right now, I’m interning at JDI, where we promulgate commercial science ventures by speaking emerging tech lingo in layman’s terms. Before that, I acted as the internal writing arm at The Cannon Houston, shining light on the innovative entrepreneurs inside that incubator. In a past life, I worked in cold-start energy and commercial real estate, where I grew into a role as the communication link between our energy and real estate teams. The students, artists, businesspeople and scientists I work with know me as glue. I book and promote intimate shows for local and touring musicians, a passion I’ve grown into a production company that connects up-and-coming-musicians with the community around them. I compose, read and teach poetry to elementary students in HISD, and work with Texas artists to illustrate the work. My life’s work is connecting the world by shaping and sharing important stories about passionate people.

I founded whether in 2019 to bring my love for connection and my 15 years of published creative experience to bear. I write and create to reflect the chaotic beauty i perceive in my journey in hopes that I may be better glue for the people I am lucky enough to reach along the way.
