Immediately, I was excited to join. We're a small group on campus, but together we are already hosting a debate between the Clemson College Democrats and the Clemson College Republicans. Also, I am putting my English major writing skills to the test with two other members to start a Political Science Journal that is focused more on United States Policy, as opposed to the foreign policy publication "The Pendulum." The greatest lessons I've learned at TTTs are about people. A majority of the time, telling customers the truth is the best choice. I am also lucky to work at a locally owned business. As such, we are trusted to act smartly and respectfully on our own. It is safe to say we're not at all micromanaged at TTT's; so cooperation, communication, and forgiveness are essential. My role as an intern at ACYPL was multifaceted. I was able to help research for delegations trips, both ingoing and outgoing, which is a little like taking a virtual trip myself. The research allowed me to learn about various cultures and places from my desk. This always brings me joy. I also had a hand in day to day tasks. Almost daily I used Salesforce to help with tasks and update new entries. There was also research to be done for event venues and necessary elements. While these tasks might be seen as trivial, I see them as a key competency to assist in running any office.This internship was cancelled early due to Covid-19. As a Senator for my on-campus apartment complex, I have the opportunity to tell the RHA council about issues we are currently facing and help make residents experience's better! My role includes going to weekly meetings with the General Assembly and with my Community Council. There aren't many of us on the community council, which makes for knowing many of the roles. This has given me an insight into how college's Residents Halls operate.

Other than being a Camp Counselor, this was one of my greatest times of self-development and awareness. Eventually, I decided it wasn't the right place for me. I'm happy to have transferred to Clemson, Loyola's polar opposite. Being a transfer student is a fun, unique experience; ask me about it!
