I am passionate about environmental restoration and protection, specifically in relation to organic agriculture, water conservation, and education. I transferred to Appalachian State to focus on Sustainable Agriculture. My extended family farm conventional soy and corn in the Midwest, so my experience is well rounded. I am currently an environmental educator at Schoolhouse of Wonder, where I serve as the Wake County Camp Lead. During my time in college, I had leadership roles in the Sustainable Development Student Alliance (SDSA), as well as a Sustainable and Environmental Educator's Club (SEEC). I was a board member for the Watauga River Partners, where I worked with a team to protect our watershed and educate community members on the health and importance of our water.I am also pursuing an Environmental Educators Certificate with the State of North Carolina.
