About Emily Doyle, Phd
I hold a PhD in Earth Sciences with expertise in climate science, adaptation, and mitigation; climate policy; stakeholder engagement; and program management. As an academic researcher, my work focused on climate reconstructions in the Arctic and Antarctic. This included establishing cutting-edge analytical techniques performed at few labs around the world and working with a coalition of international research institutions to complete largescale research and field campaigns.I am the founding manager of the Climate Resilience Program at California State Parks Foundation, where I worked with a team to build the program from the ground up. I also collaborate with government agencies, nonprofits, and corporations to increase the efficacy of our climate resilience initiatives and secure essential funding through grant proposals and donor communication. With my strong research background, I have translated complex scientific research into actionable policies and programs, including authoring a statewide report on climate resilience in state parks, driving legislation, and fostering key partnerships. This work builds on a strong foundation in climate policy, cultivated during my time as a Climate Policy Fellow at The Aspen Institute Tech Policy Hub.
