CurrentAs the Associate State Director of Advocacy and Outreach at AARP Indiana, I specialize in local and federal advocacy efforts to ensure older adults can choose how they live as they age. Specifically with local communities; Fort Wayne and Gary, Indiana, working to ensure older adults can age in place, have access to safe housing, transportation options and social participation. On a federal level, we are working to protect Social Security, provide non-partisan voter education, and ensure family caregivers are provided with the resources and support they deserve. Committed to driving positive change both locally and federally, amplifying the voices of older adults, and ensuring their needs are prioritized in legislative discussions. Working with teams of local volunteers to drive our local outreach and advocacy campaigns across the state of Indiana. Ensuring that older adults have access to the vital resources and information AARP can provide. Working with community partners to further our mission and enhance our priorities and goals.
