Greater Chicago Area

I currently have responsibility for Accenture’s global Telepresence and video conferencing operations. I manage a team of 20 resources located in 4 countries. My team supports 800 room-based video conferencing systems as well as the data center hosted infrastructure that interconnects the endpoints. The business requires an “always on” service as meetings occur 24 hours a day, every day resulting in over 4,500 video conference meetings per month. Meetings are conducted internally as well as with external clients, vendors or partner organizations.• Promote a continuous improvement team mentality and stress importance of knowledge share• Focus on individual team members to identify strengths and match those with responsibilities • Drive efficiencies in process execution enabling the ability to scale infrastructure without need to scale staffing at the same pace• Constantly identify ways to proactively address issues in the environment before an impact to the user experience

• Coordinate relationship between customer application teams and data center operational support organization, including management of 3rd party data center facilities provider• Drive incident, problem, and change management activities on customers behalf defining prioritization based on delivery team resource availability• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for all areas of the data center including server (physical and virtual), network, storage, backup, security, performance tuning, and facilities• Foster a mutually beneficial client/provider relationship founded on trust and transparency

• Manage IT infrastructure-related projects for the internal Accenture CIO organization • Coordinate all activities throughout project lifecycle including planning, budget management, resource allocation, execution, deployment, integration, reporting, documentation, communications, and project closure.• Proposed, planned and executed a server hardware refresh program by migrating 300+ physical servers to virtual machines resulting in an estimated $1 million of cost avoidance.
