I believe wholeheartedly that it is not being in charge that is most important, but rather taking care of those in your charge.When developing Premium Parking's Hospitality Division it was day by day, brick by brick. I addressed the basics: how to create and win that first impression; how to be pleasantly aggressive; how to be proactive, be front and center, ready to impress. I preached curiosity and encouraged everyone to become an expert at their position. However, the real momentum began after I realized that we didn’t have an “associate” problem – we had a “manager” problem. Over time, I developed a crew of coaches and teachers who could preach and practice the need for empathy, the importance of integrity, and the power of community. From there, my team and clients made us all a success.
