Eric has amassed twenty-seven years of experience working in various aspects of the Surveying, Civil Engineering, and the Environmental Consulting fields. Educated at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he holds a B.A. in anthropology. Entering the workforce in 1995, Eric worked with consulting firms providing cultural resource management services to state highway departments in Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. He was involved with the identification and the mitigation of various prehistoric and historic resources impacted by proposed highway routes. His interest in surveying and mapping became more focused in 1996 when he participated in the testing of a GIS based archaeological predictive model. Following this developing interest in mapping technologies, in 1997 Eric accepted a position with Rettew Associates, Inc. as a Survey Technician. While at Rettew Associates he continued to expand his knowledge of surveying and mapping. Exposure to a diverse group of clients including federal agencies, public utilities, railroads and both public and private institutions aided Eric in developing a broad perspective in his application of mapping technologies and methods to meet a given client’s unique needs. Desiring additional challenges, in 1999 Eric accepted a position with Diehm & Sons, Inc. Eric introduced GPS technology to the survey services offered by Diehm & Sons. His responsibilities include the management of the technologies utilized by the firm in both field and office settings.
