• Administered standardized interview surveys among opioid-using individuals about their sexual practices, drug use, and other health topics as part of the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance.• Performed instant rapid HIV tests, counseling on the test results, and referrals to linkage to care.• Conducted a logistic regression analysis using SAS on the relationship between poly-substance use and increased risk of HIV and Hepatitis C infection.

Boston, Ma

• Examined the intersection and impact of minority identities on HIV-related appointments and medication adherence through a mixed-methods study (K23DA043418).• Using NVIVO, performed a qualitative analysis on over 30 in-depth interviews on men’s experiences with stigma, discrimination, impact of substance use and minority identity on HIV-related behaviors.• Performed routine data management tasks on study datasets using SPSS to do the following: data cleaning, recoding, analyses, and export.

Assisted the Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration (PBHCI) Program (Grant #1H79SM062229) to reduce morbidity and early death among people with severe mental illness.Administered data collection activities (enrollment and reassessment) by conducting interviews with clients attending various clinics within Massachusetts Mental Health Center.Maintained and updated lists of current participants, including clients who have completed the study and received compensation.Responsible for data management activities such as: tracking of client health indicators within various systems, scheduling of client interviews, data input and tracking of missing data.Interact and collaborate with diverse PBHCI team including: client guardians, mental health team (clinician/psychiatrist), nurse practitioners, Nurse Care Manager, and wellness team.

Participated in the NIDA-funded Summer HIV/AIDS Research Program (SHARP; Grant #R24DA029989-02), with specialized workshops and seminars on quantitative and qualitative research design and methods, led by internationally recognized experts in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment researchConducted multivariable and effect modification analyses on an NIH-funded respondent driven sampling study for alcohol-using men who have sex with men (Grant #DP5OD019809).Conducted a literature review on barriers and facilitators to ecological momentary assessment in racial minorities. Recruited participants for HIV vaccine trials in community outreach events. Participated in weekly substance use research group meetings that discuss and problem-solve emerging operational, ethical and scientific issues related to conduct of clinical trials

Evaluated and assessed the effectiveness of the Popular Opinion Leader program as well as modified aspects of the program to better suit the community, including adding education materials on sexual contraceptives. Executed data collection, and compiled the information to design the organization’s 2016-2017 annual report. Completed certification in HIV testing and linkage to care in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Organized and inventoried the organization’s donation closet for the underserved community.
