Board Member since 2002 of the Save Abandoned Babies Foundation. The Foundation has helped pass laws in Illinois aimed at educating people about the “Safe Haven Law,” allowing a parent to anonymously and safely relinquish a newborn child at a police station, fire station or hospital without fear of prosecution. In Illinois, 160 newborns have been safely relinquished since the law was enacted in 2001.
