Recreation Supervisor - Youth & Teen Programming
Current- Oversee all Youth & Teen Programs for the City of Carlsbad including Preschool Programs, Teen Programs, Teen Special Events, & all Summer Camps & Spring Break Camps.- Produced record setting participation & revenue numbers for the City of Carlsbad Summer Camps in 2024.- Supervise the Pine Avenue Community Center along with all Part time & Fulltime staff members. Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervising of over 50 part time & full time staff.. Develop new recreation programs and procedures & oversee the implementation within the Youth & Teen Programs.. Assist in budget preparation & administration for the department. Oversee 4 separate budgets ensuring we adhere to budget requirements and consistently hit our numbers.. Work directly with Carlsbad Unified School District officials to administer and deliver youth and teen programs.. Revamped the LITE Teen Afterschool Program. Brought participation up 250% in 10 months.. Develops long and short term plans, goals and objectives for assigned area, prepares weekly, monthly and annual statistical reports, records/reports accidents and incidents, prepares press releases and program flyers, prepares weekly work schedules and payroll reports, reviews, approves and forwards invoices for payment.
