I am responsible for the day-to-day management of ACS's flagship primary research and reviews journals. Working in close collaboration with the Editors-in-Chief and colleagues across ACS Publications, I drive the strategic growth of Accounts of Chemical Research, Chemical Reviews, and the Journal of the American Chemical Society to identify, implement, and promote strategies for the multidisciplinary portfolio to diversify and grow authorship, personalize outreach to key communities, further delineate the role and legacy of each journal.

I work with our editors to develop and support the strategic vision for the journal, create content for our marketing campaigns to promote the journal and the articles it publishes, help manage the peer review process, and manage the many relationships required to keep the journal running smoothly.

I simulate proteins on large computer clusters. I collaborate with researchers in physics and in medicine to develop therapies for ALS and Alzheimer's Disease. I use computer simulations to predict antibody binding sites on the proteins that cause these diseases.

Worked as a TA in the department of Physics and Astronomy. Held positions as a Mentor TA, assisting new TA's in their teaching technique, and as a Head TA, organizing and supervising ~30 TA's.

Developed and implemented a implicit solvent models for use in molecular dynamics simulations. Used GROMACS and other analysis tools to answer questions about proteins implicated in neurodegenerative disorders such as SOD1 and beta-amyloid.

Worked for the c21 Teaching Physics group in the UBC Department of Physics and Astronomy. Wrote and advised on materials in multiple media aimed at explaining physics in real-world situations to high-school level students.

Summers of 2002, 2004-2006 spent working for faculty in astrophysics and condensed matter physics. All four projects involved writing Fortran code as part of larger programs.
