The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) is a highly selective leadership development program that recruits outstanding recent advanced degree candidates (masters, doctorate, professional). It was created more than three decades ago by Executive Order and candidates must complete a rigorous assessment process in order to be chosen as a Finalist. The program attracts and selects the best candidates possible, and aims to develop a cadre of future government leaders. For 2015, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management selected 600 finalists from a pool of 7,800 applicants representing more than 300 colleges and universities.
